Clear My Throat

I hate publicity
Anything that has to do with it
Certainly, count me out
Come to think of it
How could you accomplished
A God-given talent without
Falling in love with publicity.

I thought publicity is for those
Who wants to create an environment
For them to be noticed, but hide as you may
The golden fish has no hiding place
I have hidden for too long
Now is the time to clear my throat
And get busy with this fun
I cherished it so much.

I realize many have talents
But how to express them becomes a problem
Many allowed their talents to die in them
Some do not believe that they are worthy
Of their precious given talents
Some envy others' talents without knowing
That theirs are greater than those they envy.

Some are just follow-follow
Everything they see others do
They want to do that
Tell me, were you born on the same day?
Why not be yourself
Being yourself is only how
You can discover and achieve your talent
Stop being follow-follow.

Imaginable Hope

I live on the line of hope
Hope for the better day that will come.

I sang with joy within my vein
Glory, glory, our day of hope is here
I could feel her presence
Wrapped in the mystery of imagination.

Hope is here to stay
Life is here to be worth a meaning
That I might live like a man
Who has a purpose to fulfil his calling?

Needlelines

In stitches of lines,
Patches of thoughts gathered in words
Thoughts that seem incoherent,
Breathes with the air that unction life.

In lines of emotional inflows,
The loneliness of secret thoughts resurrects
And life is produced in thoughts that breathe
Now I see an angel in the lines that births.

It may sound stupid to the ears of some
Or might make nonsense too many
But to the mind that cherishes the gift of nature
The inborn a gift is their reward.

In lines of thoughts
Inspiration resurrects like the stitching from a needle
My thoughts are like life buried within a closet
Her day of glory shines beyond the days she was born.

I had rejected this gift out of ignorance
How I was beaten to surrender feeling worthless
Why must it be me of all worthy of this I asked myself?
But now that I had known better, I breathe these lines into my thoughts.

Christian Poems About Purpose. When you have the right definition of life, things would work for your sake. These Christian poems are words of encouragement about fulfilling purpose even in moments of struggle and temptation.

All In All

The fury forest of life
Seek to consume me
But in the strength of His Word
Will I put my trust.

Life in the dungeon of hope
Tempted my soul to go astray
But I shall not weary
For in Him will I put my trust.

I looked to heaven
And cried for help
He sat and tendered His hand
That I might behold His glory.

He who was replaced for my sake
Blameless lamb who borne my shame
He who loves me without a fault
His life He gave that I will live eternally.

Our Life

Our life is beautiful
Only if we allow our heart
To free a hold on it.
See life as a means
To make things happen
If we hate, we have sin
For no man is an island.
If God never loves us,
He wouldn’t have created us equal
For with Him, all mortals are equal
Nothing like tribes.

Halleluiah

Language of the Heavenly
Shouted in all languages
It has no interpretation
Yet it is known to all races.

Songs of praises
Balm in healing
At the sound of it
Praise perfects the heart of all.

H-a-l-l-e-l-u-i-a-h…
The shout of joy from above.

Poems About Life And Love. Life comes with many imaginary hopes. And when love is added to it, it makes it wonderful. Sometimes what you desire might not be what you get out of life and love.

I Shall

I shall be a mask covered in mystery
I shall be a thought provoked by your heart
Till you dare in suspend to cry.

I shall be a roar in your deepest thought
Castigating your being like the loss of breath
I shall be a torment to your soul
Breathing valour that must awaken your midnight sleep.

I shall be mad with wicked thoughts,
Thoughts that will reduce your ego to nothing
And make you beg for your right
Like a suspect that committed no crime.

I shall be a terror to your soul
Yes I shall be your wicked thoughts
I shall be your hate-love till you realize
That a Friday that seems good is known as a Wednesday.

Tick and Fleshy

Tick and fleshy
Her body aglow in a mass of flesh
Tall and heavy
In a mass of pride, she carries herself
Bold and sexy
In glamorous praise, she defines her style
Big and trendy
The imagination of the brain can’t ignore her naturalness.

A gift to humanity, black that is beautiful
With the right flesh and curve at their perfect places
She defines who an African beauty should be.

Who would fault those gifts from nature?
For there is no make-believe
That is described in sheer confusion as
Broomstick, rail stick, pencil thing…
But a rare gift an African man
Would take home as a wife.

Heart of Deceit

Suddenly,
Her lines seem to cease
And those words
That could make a soul rethink fades
Now the heart wondered in shame
If it has hurt a soul with her thought.

Now my thoughts roam
The line of words seems to cease
I sat here in the dark
With eyes fixed on the sky with questions
“What is a love worth
When the heart of deceit rules her?

Poems About Purpose. When you are tapped by a sound that awoke you to keep on keeping on no matter the challenges that come your way, then know that your set time for a miracle is here.

Tapped by the Sound

Tapped by the sound that awoken me
A sweet smile glows on my lip
Day has awoken in her shining glory
Wet pasture blossoming in their freshness
Chuckled choruses I heard sang from around.

Early to wake
Early to plan
Fail to plan
Plan to fail.

In a hash, I hummed to the shower
A perfect bathe I must refresh my mind
For a healthy mind, they say it is a healthy body.

Tapped by the sound that awoke me
Joy so sweet fills my heart
That I heard my lips proclaimed
“I can never fail”… “Whatever it takes to make it”
That will do I
So I heard my heart say again.

This Tears

In tears, Lord when will my tears reach you?
How could I live my life like there is no hope?
Didn’t you create me for a purpose?
How could I be your creation?
And still, the evil hands seem to defeat me?

I have done all I could within my ability
But it looks as if this load is too heavy for me to bear
Lord, where is the love that you said you love me
If you truly love me then why is my life in the dark?
I have tried all that I know, but it seems life is against me.

Lord why, how could you let my enemies glory themselves?
They thought they have gotten and are done with me
I seek redemption but it seems your hand is too far from me
What else do you want to have me do Lord?
I am sick of trying to live my life without a purpose.

The tears in my eyes
Is it to glorify the devil or to shame You?
Am I, not your son? Lord, didn’t you create me in your image?
Wasn’t it for my sake you die so that I wouldn’t have to go through life
Wondering about, like a sheep that has no shepherd.

Here I am, toiled by the hustles of life
I weep every moment like there is no hope in sight
Who would help me if you forsake me?
Lord, when will my tears get to your mercy throne of grace?
For I need a turnaround and you alone that is worthy to give me.

Lord make me that I will be made
Turn my sorrow into joy
Make my weeping endure only for a night
Let the morning brings my desired victory
That the joy I have in You shall forever be fulfilled.

Lord, I look to You in spite of all challenges
I believe You are preparing a way for me
A way that will shame my enemies and worries
Lord, I pray Your day cometh
For I await the fulfilment of your promises in my life.

Brain Box

He walks like a man
That has no foresight
A first look tells no story of him
Who is he?
Who knows his family?
Questions upon questions asked
But no answer in sight.

He walks in slowness
In calculated speeches
He delivers his thoughts
In companion to books
He feeds himself daily
For the little loaf, he carries
Are the powerhouse
That sat among Kings.

Poems That Make You Think. You may never know when it is time to go home forever but the life you live shall forever be remembered if you live a life of purpose.

When?

I sat in tears
With thoughts gone
Like smoke out of a thatch roof
To where does it ascend to?

I cry in thoughts
As silence gripped me
In my life, I seem to lack control
To where are my thoughts roaming?

I cry, oh, I weep
Oblivion has become a thought in waiting
Where shall the way of all mortals come?

To me, a day is in waiting
A day I will see my sleep ascends forever.

Two’s in One

My head shakes
With tears that almost drop.
My mind questioned
With a heart that pains
Our society, what has it become.

My heart bleeds
With sorrow covered in sagged clothes.
My soul wept like one who has no hope
How in the midst of plenty
Many share' no hope for tomorrow.

I wept with uncontrollable heart
For a journey out for life’s struggles
I see sorrows planted in the corner of our roads.

Den of Hunger

I came to a land,
The land where I knew nobody
I came to a land
The land where my belly cried for food
I came to a land,
The land where my heart is weak
For hunger is my daily bread of sorrow.

I came to a land,
The land where I would earn a certificate
That certificate will colour my life
And set me on the path to a lasting greatness
But before I inherit it,
A true test of survival I must undergo.

Are you lost in Somalia?
Nor lost in Uganda?
Never consider Sudan nor …
Where inhumanity has reduced her brethren
To a life of walking corpses
No, not am I, but lost in a land
That her name terrifies the mind.

I came, I saw…
Daniel survives the Lion’s den,
Hebrew brothers survive the flaming fire
This cup surely will pass over me.

Poems about Purpose in Life. If you want to make your life purpose a thing of fulfilment, get connected with the people who share with you like minds. Love Poems from the Heart for Her and True Love Poems from the Heart for Her

Friendship

In a bond of hope,
We were created to love
In the bond of friendship
We were meant to be one
Like a bunch of brooms
We were not to be separated
But be bound in togetherness.
Like two heads
We are better than one
But stronger than all
For in togetherness
We were meant to blossom
Like pasture that never fades.

Nsikak Andrew

Heart or Mouth

Can your soul hear your words?
Words spoken from your heart
For you came like an angel
With no blaspheming words in your heart
I heard those words and my heart gladden
I heard those words and my heart opened
Like a rose flower in the morning, breathe.
Fragrances of your words
Mesmerize me like a love song
You made promises of care
Vows that would rethink a hardened soul
I trip, I tremble, I freeze, I surrender…
Now I know that words from the mouth
Aren't they the same like words from the heart?

Nsikak Andrew

Words Fail My Lips

Words fail my lips
For I now feel like a discarded pot
At the corner of a thatched hut
I long for a deep smile but…
Tears drop from my eyes
What’s a life worth?
If all that is to it
Is deceit and never
That unconditional love
Which is all it takes
To make life worth living.

Famous Poems about Purpose. These poems are dedicated to known and unknown heroes both alive and resting.

Rising Sun
[For Jane, a good friend along the ladder of life]

My heart glad for her
For I see the rising sun
Set on her destiny.

Her! The world felt was gone
Helpless with no hope to excel
How the myopic mind reasons.

Around and around she moves
Toiled by the victims of life’s challenges
How she was their laughingstock
A bottle of soft gulped in the Kiosk.

Who has given her a chance?
None! For her, they waved, which was a pushover
Now see what destiny has rewarded her.

For in the middle of life’s struggles
Sunset has a smile at her doorstep
Now if you see her
You no go know her again.

Sunset at the Other Side
[Odey To Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie]

Sunset on her smile
For in the making of African attire
She educates the world about her root.

The child that breathes in the hilly side of Nsukka
Land where our great intellectuals dreamt
How she has sipped from the cup of our literary warriors.

Odey to her, hand painted in “Purple Hibiscus”,
Sunset to her, curator in “Half of a Yellow Sun”,
The world has not heard you yet.

Smile with a pen at hand
For at the right side of literary conscience
Your worth would always announce your dreams.

Ode to our own
Our very own
Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.

Rest In Etim Ekpo
[Dedicated To My Late Friend, Uforo]

I pass your land and I wept
For out of these dusts you are gone.

Etim Ekpo oh Etim Ekpo
The land whose handsome son is gone
Who has done thee this evil?

Main man, where are you?
I weep without consolation
Who will take this tear away?

Death, how could you
Take the only joy of a mother
Death, how could you
Take the only man I could relate to?

Etim Ekpo cry…
For death has done her worst
But I am consoled
For out of him that lives on
A star is born to wipe your tears.

Famous Poems about Purpose of Life. Life would give you what you desire from it if only you work towards it. Let these amazing poems be a source of encouragement to you towards striving hard to make your dream come true.

There I Look

I stand within the height of my mind,
And look within the road that has no end
All I see is a beautiful world worth living for
A future that is as bright as the star.

I look with every inch of hope in view
And behold a virgin land of honour
All I could live for is right within my eyes
A future that is as bright as the shining sun.

Again I look with no mistake of sight
And what I see will marvel my generation
All I see is a landfill with milk and honey
A future stored in the treasure of gold.

Never let me be weary or let bitterness
Take away the joy hidden in my tomorrow
For I know and I know that a brighter future
Will ever await me, that is, if I wait in humility.

Nsikak Andrew

Some Days

Days of joy,
Days of sadness,
Days that you cry to smile
Some days are just like that.

Days you live for the comfort of life,
Days your wish tomorrow might not come,
Days you see your dreams roll over you,
Some days are definitely like that.

Days that life smiles on you,
Days the miracle seems unworthy,
Days you feel the worth of life,
Sincerely some days are like that.

Days without any struggle,
Days without much effort,
Days when the sky is a blessing,
Truly some days are like that.

Days you plant,
Days you harvest,
Days you live in plenty,
Every day should be like that.

Days you live for something,
Days you live for nothing,
Days within a walk of faith,
Make every day to be like that.
Days the sunrise,
Days that darkness comes,
Days in a mixture of mystery,
Some days are like that.

Days come in both forms,
You either have it plus or minus,
But never expect it to always be rosy,
Some days and some days are just like that.

Throne of His Majesty

Splendour in majesty
Him who ruleth over the earth
How great is thy name
One sited on His exhorted throne.

Arise in praise of His name
Ye earth and all that liveth
Worship Him in His majesty
The King that ruleth over the universe.

Sing to the Most High God
Rejoice in the dawn of a new day
For His grace and mercy
We are made to see a new day.

He sited on the throne
We bow in worship of thy name
For nor would ever be like You
He that cleanses our iniquities.

We come before your presence
And worship in the beauty of your holiness
How humble is our spirit to sing your praise
For out of your love for us, we see a new day.
